Building PMPrompt - AI-Powered Product Management Tools

As a product manager, I kept writing versions of the same documents. PRDs. User stories. Release notes. The context changes, but a lot of the work starts from a familiar shape.

I wanted to make that starting point easier to reuse. So I launched PMPrompt, a collection of AI prompts for product managers and tools for common PM work.

Getting past the blank document

A template gives you headings to fill in. A prompt can take the context you provide and help draft what's underneath them. Neither one supplies the decisions for you. You still need to know who the product is for, what problem matters, and which constraints you are working within.

The initial library covers PRDs, user stories with acceptance criteria, release notes, customer interview analysis, and competitive analysis. These are tasks I already do, which makes them a useful place to start.

The aim is a draft I can work with. I can spend the next pass questioning the assumptions and changing the details instead of staring at another empty PRD.

Keeping the build familiar

I used Laravel 11, Livewire, Tailwind, and SQLite, with deployment on DigitalOcean. I wanted a stack I could iterate on quickly. SQLite kept the database setup simple, and Livewire handled the interactive tools.

The first version is a prompt library. A custom prompt builder, collaboration, and integrations are ideas for where it could go. For now, I want to keep adding useful prompts and hear which parts of the workflow are worth packaging next.
