Building SurveySnaps: Location-Based QR Code Surveys

I launched SurveySnaps to collect feedback tied to a location. Put a QR code where someone has the experience, let them scan it, and give them a short survey to answer.

A restaurant bathroom is a good example. Someone can tell you it needs attention while they're standing there. At a conference, the code can belong to a particular session. In retail, it can belong to a store. The location is part of the feedback rather than another thing the person has to explain.

Keeping the survey short

The surveys take three clicks and are built for mobile. Each location gets its own QR code. Businesses can organize locations by region or type, look at feedback across them, and receive alerts when something needs attention.

It also works for digital locations. A website feedback survey uses the same idea: attach the response to the place someone encountered the problem.

I built it with Laravel 11, Livewire, and Tailwind, and deployed it on DigitalOcean. The core platform was live when I wrote this. More reporting, team management, integrations, and language support were on the list for later.
